Rosalind Beardshaw
Rosalind grew up in Sheffield, and loved Art at school, so she went to
Manchester Polytechnic to take a degree in Art. She was chosen to show her
work at the “Young Designer’s” exhibition in London. This was the beginning of
a career designing greeting cards and wrapping paper. Rosalind also worked on
educational books, which led to her being asked to illustrate “Fran’s flower”
(Shortlisted for Sheffield Children’s Book Award).
Rosalind likes to work in acrylics and brown pastel paper, and her favourite
colours are red,pink and orange, preferably all together.
She
dislikes eating stringy runner beans, and loves apple pie and custard.
