Author / Illustrator Profile
Rosalind Beardshaw

Rosalind grew up in Sheffield, and loved Art at school, so she went to Manchester Polytechnic to take a degree in Art. She was chosen to show her work at the “Young Designer’s” exhibition in London. This was the beginning of a career designing greeting cards and wrapping paper. Rosalind also worked on educational books, which led to her being asked to illustrate “Fran’s flower” (Shortlisted for Sheffield Children’s Book Award).

Rosalind likes to work in acrylics and brown pastel paper, and her favourite colours are red, pink and orange, preferably all together.

She dislikes eating stringy runner beans, and loves apple pie and custard.
