Alan Gibbons
Alan was born in Warrington
and brought up as a farmer’s son in the Cheshire countryside. When he was
eight, he moved to Crewe and has now settled in Liverpool with his family.
Before discovering his writing talent, Alan did many jobs including working in a tea factory, furniture factory and even a toilet factory. Eventually he took up teaching, through which he began to write stories for children.
Alan likes reading, writing, football, and music – from the Beatles to opera.
Alan has written over 20 books and is a Blue Peter Book Award winner.
